From 23 to 26 May the 19th edition will be dedicated to the theme “QUO VADIS? The dilemmas of our time”..
The Gruppo 24 ORE together with Trentino Marketing in the role of organizers on behalf of the Autonomous Province of Trento and with the contribution of the Municipality of Trento and the University of Trento will organize four unmissable days which will involve the entire city of Trento in a widespread manner with the participation of:

THE THEMES
What is happening on a global level – between 60 wars in the world and elections in 76 countries – increasingly justifies the question “QUO VADIS? The dilemmas of our time”, emblematic title chosen for the 2024 edition of the Festival by the Festival Advisory Board (made up of the Director of Il Sole 24 Ore and president of the Scientific Committee Fabio Tamburini, Paolo Magri, Emma Marcegaglia, Monica Mondardini, Giulio Sapelli , Giulio Tremonti).
THE EVENTS and THE SCHEDULE
280 events in four days, through the precious contribution of the brightest minds in science, experts from the most diverse disciplines and opinion leaders, in dialogue with personalities from politics, economics and civil society, in search of a compass that will allow find adequate solutions or, at least, suitable interpretations to better understand this complex historical moment, which we are all called to experience.
The event’s schedule includes numerous events, again this year characterized by different editorial formats. Each of the four days will begin at 9.30 am with alternating KEYNOTE SPEECH, DIALOGUES and PANELS. These will be accompanied by the Fuori Festival formats featuring established storytellers and young talents and creators, true stars of social platforms, as well as educational events for primary and secondary high school students, educational WORKSHOPS for the little ones, exhibitions for families and evening entertainment events for everyone, with DJ sets, SHOWS and CONCERTS. A mix of events designed to create an event capable of uniting the academic soul with the real economy, the local economy with the global one.
Attention to the openness and inclusion of all interested targets thanks to the consideration shown by the organizers of the new Festival format since the first 2022 edition, on Gender equality, committing year after year to balancing the gender presence within the speaker panels of the four days. This year the female presence among the speakers stands at around 35% while in 2022 it was 27%.
SUMMARY OF STATEMENTS FROM GUESTS AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE
Maurizio Fugatti the president of the Autonomous Province of Trento declared: “(…) also in the previous edition we saw the scope of the organization of Sole24Ore together with Trentino Marketing. For our part, we have therefore taken all the steps to renew the organization of the Economics Festival for another three years with Il Sole 24 Ore”. The President’s words confirm the partnership with the 24 ORE Group for the organization of the Trento Economics Festival for the next three years.
Edoardo Garrone the president of Gruppo 24ORE welcomed with great satisfaction the news of the confirmation of the collaboration for the next editions of the event: “Great news. Certainly, the winning formula and the extraordinary organizational commitment given by Sole 24 Ore and the Trentino authorities have produced the success of recent years“.
Mirja Cartia d’Asero, CEO of Gruppo 24 ORE – answers the question – “But why, in one sentence, come to the Trento Festival of Economics?” “Because here – replies Cartia d’Asero – there are the right questions that are worth even more than the answers in an era that I would define as the certainty of uncertainty”.
Federico Silvestri, CEO of 24 ORE Eventi declared: “I am pleased to thank for the good news of the confirmation for the three-year period by President Fugatti and by all the Trentino institutions, for the evident commitment of the Sole 24 Ore. All this would not be possible without the help of all the actors in the area“.
Regarding the Fuori Festival program: “We conceived the Fuori Festival because on the one hand we wanted to bring together targets that are not taken for granted, young people and the world of families, and on the other hand to give meaning to the word, which relates in particular to the dimension of the festival and the encounter. With entertainment content too, entertainment that is always intelligent. We therefore wanted to grow this initiative which had a wonderful evolution last year and which this year will be implemented with many new features and ideas.”
