Design System

Gruppo 24 ORE, always attentive to economic dynamics, offers an integrated information system that, including periodicals, newspapers, websites and events, covers all aspects of the sector to satisfy both operators and enthusiasts who want to be updated, in a more specific and dedicated way, on the best of luxury interior design.

The system is composed of the How to Spend It Superior Interiors Special, (issue in newsstand on Friday 5 June), Il Sole 24 Ore Design Special Report (issue on June 16) and the Design Summit on October 26.

The decision to postpone the largest event in the sector, the Salone del Mobile, to 2021 has strengthened the need for new showcases of the production system and the launches that companies are presenting on the market these days.

How to Spend it, the glossy magazine of the luxury lifestyle, comes out on newsstands from Friday 5 June with the special Superior Interiors edition, dedicated to the world of design, high craftsmanship and author’s production. Many protagonists of the glossy magazine in large format: from Michael Anastassiades to Virgil Abloh, from Hannes Peer to Giuliano Andrea dell’Uva. As many ideas: from the best of modular solutions to the trend of “nature inside the house”, a vegetable maximalism that affects both the color palette and the decorative motifs of leaves, butterflies, wild animals.

The perimeter of the house extends outdoors, onto terraces, balconies and gardens and the care of the outdoors is in continuity with the interior: same atmospheres, same furnishings inside and out. Among the trendy materials, glass occupies a place of its own (to which the cover is dedicated) which by high craftsmanship borders on art with unique pieces and interesting prices.

On June 16, Il Sole 24 Ore goes to the newsstands with the Special Design Report attached, to tell the companies struggling with the world in lockdown and the Salone del Mobile canceled. What tools have been used to exit the crisis? Eighteen entrepreneurs, managers and designers from leading companies in the sector explain what measures were taken during the most acute phase of the emergency and how they will face the markets after the recovery. Creativity, business strategies, marketing actions, the approach to the market.

In the 16 pages, a rich photo gallery of the news that companies were unable to present at the Salone del Mobile in Milan but which are on sale in stores all over the world. The Special Design Report will also be visible online and will be published on the ilSole24ore.com website: a dossier that will be a real hub of all the contributions made by the editorial staff, updated and enriched with documentation, images and video contributions on all that was expected in this postponed edition.

The 24 ORE Group’s design system continues in the autumn with the second issue of Superior Interiors in 2020 and the launch of the Design Summit, a new digital appointment on the 24 ORE Events calendar: a very important moment of meeting between the representatives of the institutions and the major players in the sector for a serious reflection on the restart of the made in Italy design and on the challenges to face in the post crisis scheduled on October 26th.

We will discuss the new internationalization strategies for Italian businesses: the role of institutions and aid to businesses; the value of excellence in times of uncertainty and economic instability: what are the levers to focus on; the new design showcases and the revolution in sales channels: e-commerce, online, smartshopping. In conclusion, two Round Tables: the first on the point of view of Italian operators and the new territories of creativity and the other with an international overview: data, markets and international trends in the design sector.

Superior Interiors, to be released on Friday 5 June, will be supported by a press, digital and social campaign on 24 ORE Group media.
