Bike Economy 24

It was held in Rimini on 12 September “Bike Economy 24”, the first stop of the roadshow organized by the 24 ORE Group and dedicated to the “two-wheeled world” economy: a debate that will involve institutions, industry players and international guests with the aim to show – through best practices, innovative models and interventions of industry players – how the bicycle in its various facets can be a driving force for the economies of the single territories.

The Rimini event, organized in collaboration with the Emilia Romagna APT, will kick off the Italian Bike Festival, the most important Italian event dedicated to the bike world scheduled from September 13th to 15th at the Fellini Park, and will address multiple aspects of the market that revolves around the cycling industry: from the economic – market, induced, export, job opportunities – to the regulatory ones, mainly connected to e-bikes, from technological ones, with the innovations applied to the bicycle and its use, to those of marketing, passing through the role played by this sector in the sports industry and its impact on life style and tourism, with insights also on urban sustainability and infrastructure.

Sponsors of the Bike Economy 24 roadshow – which has the patronage of the National Tourist Board, Fiab, Formula Bici and Ancma – are Apt Emilia Romagna, Apt Bormio, Endu, Nielsen Sport, BluBrake, Enovia and ICS – Istituto del Credito Sportivo.

The next stage of Bike Economy 24 will be Monday, October 14th in Bormio, promoted by Bormio Marketing, coinciding with the closure of the local cycling season.

The project will end in November in Milan, with a one-day meeting to explore the issue with representatives of industry and institutions and assess future scenarios.
