Invest in the future. A tree for a new start. A living newspaper, which changes, evolves, becomes green. An international network to plant development seeds together. From today IL starts a new forest:
for the launch of the new concept of the magazine, IL pays homage to a tree to each customer partner of the issue.
Il changes: new Logo, new format, new concept, new international creative agency, new integrated digital platform, which from the paper newspaper continues with the browsing of the app and launches the new IL site integrated into the Sole 24 Ore site. To celebrate the new IL, the digital edition will be free from April 6.
Rethinking the Planet to rethinking the future. The new IL is born, on newsstands on Friday 3 April with Il Sole 24 Ore, completely renewed: new the logo, new the editorial structure and new participation in every number of international talent & photography. A new IL with an all-round relaunch: each issue, a new episode, like a TV series. The script is new with an open and inclusive editorial scan, where the hierarchy of topics is replaced by the hierarchy of treatments.
Not only a newspaper renewed in content and image, but a newspaper that will be new every month, thanks to special initiatives, starting from the cover-event. Also new is the integrated digital platform, social and events of IL and, to celebrate the first release, the digital version of the magazine will be available with free access starting from April 6th from the website and within the Sole 24 Ore app.
The new Il, on newsstands on Friday 3 April, opens with a cover drop that is already looking ahead and titled “Return to grow, invest in the future”, the light green of a newly sprouted bud, a tree that takes root. Thanks to the collaboration with the Treedom community, part of the network of certified B corporations, IL immediately begins to create its global forest, planting trees at each exit and, on the occasion of the first issue, also giving a tree to each of the 54 partner customers of this first episode of the magazine: for each tree it will be possible to know the exact geolocation, see the photos when it is planted and follow its growth. Each tree will bear the name of the partner customer.
In addition, the Special Guest and the special initiative of this issue is Milovan Farronato, the well-known art curator, curator of the Italian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale, director of the Fiorucci Art Trust. He curated for IL the fashion portraits, made by the well-known son of art, Fenton Bailey (raised on bread and photography, working with his father David Bailey).
In a contemporary picture gallery that recalls the poses of the Renaissance portrait, the models are international artists such as Sissi, Anthea Hamilton, Patrizio Di Massimo, Prem Sahib, Celia Hempton Erika Verzutti, Oman Yousefzada, gallery owners and collectors. With a particularity: the clothes are all from Farronato’s personal wardrobe. The new IL is a journal of contemporary protagonists. Here then are the new formats of portraits and encounters, from the visual interview with Massimo Bottura to the playlist interview with Stefano Bollani, from the green interview with Zac Efron to the interview-coach with Roberto Mancini.
The objects also come alive on the new IL, thanks to the great writers and the photographic reports of the excellent manufacturers: many tales of fashion, technology, cars, accessories and small great pleasures that improve life.
In support of the new IL, the press campaign was planned on the 24 Ore Group media and on the trade press. Strong support on digital and social platforms.
