Nominations for the award dedicated to women’s talent are open until October 13th. Awards ceremony will take place on the 20th November in Milan.
On the occasion of the second edition of the “Women at the top” event – an initiative of the 24 ORE Group in collaboration with the Financial Times and with the media partnership of SkyTG24 – the “We Award Women Excellence 2024” will return.
On the stage of the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan, on November 20th, Women at the top will feature some of the most well-known and recognized Italian and international female personalities, who will represent different worlds transversally, from economics to business, to public institutions and private, up to sport, culture, entertainment and much more. All called to tell their stories to inspire the new generations, thus contributing to providing participants with useful tools so that everyone can build their own path and realize their aspirations. The event will also be an opportunity to celebrate and learn about the human and professional journey of many leading protagonists and an opportunity for reflection and discussion on major issues, such as the evolution of the job market, the role that women are taking on the great transformations underway and the actions still to be taken to reduce the gender gap.
Attention and focus, therefore, on the important objective of overcoming the “gender gap” and above all the affirmation of female excellence as a decisive contributing factor and strategic lever for the growth of the country. It is this awareness that inspires the “WE Award – Women Excellence”, already a protagonist of the success of the first edition and an integral part of the “Women at the Top” project entirely dedicated to women and their role in the transformation and growth of today’s society. The primary purpose is to celebrate female excellence, through the story of the different talents, small and large successes of personalities, known and lesser known, who with intuition, courage and determination have committed themselves to achieving their goals.
The award aims first to support the narration of the paths of all those who are actively contributing – or have done so throughout their lives and professional careers – to the “gentle revolution of women”, which is the title of this edition of “Women at the Top”.
Applications and selections
Nominations for this second edition of the award can be submitted until October 13th and have no limits in terms of age or areas of action. From this year there are two different methods of proposal: directly, by the person who intends to submit their candidacy or, indirectly, through the reporting of those who intend to nominate stories of deserving women with whom they have had the opportunity to interact.
Once the application phase has been completed, the mechanism of initial analysis, selection and assignment to the most related category will take place in order to submit to the Jury a qualified shortlist of applications for the final victory of each category; those identified for the 2024 edition are “Business and Management”, “Social Economy”, “ESG, Welfare and CSR”, “Training and Research”, “Innovation”. Furthermore, the organizing committee will have the opportunity to award some special mentions, dedicated to stories worthy of attention.
The jury
